Weston-under-Redcastle is a small picturesque village and civil parish set in a conservation area in the County of Shropshire, England.
It is located approximately midway between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch just off the A49
The village itself dates back beyond Roman times and contains several Grade 1 listed buildings with St Lukes Church built of the local red sandstone lying at its centre
Situated under the southwest edge of the Hawkstone Ridge and overlooked by the remains of the Red Castle, from which it gets its name, the village is also home to Hawkstone Park Hotel, which has two golf courses and the award-winning Hawkstone Park Follies lying in historic parkland.
Other nearby attractions are the Grade 1 Hawkstone Hall Hotel and Gardens (accessed through the village), the Citadel Wedding Venue with its spectacular views over the Grade 1 historic landscape, and Hawkstone Park internationally recognised Moto Cross Circuit
Recorded in the Domesday Book as having 21 households in 1086 this has risen to circa 140 households today

The Church section will let you know what is happening each month through the contributing editor Helen O’Neill and the various changes that are taking place as we move from the Parish of Hodnet to that of Wem.
The Village Hall has its own varied programme and is available for the Community to use as required. The local Automated External Defibrillator is also sited at the Village Hall and has open access to members of the village and visitors. The AED was kindly donated by the Henry Angel-James Memorial Trust.
